I recently got done reading Let’s Pretend This Never Happened by Jenny Lawson. I highly recommend her book and her blog: www.thebloggess.com. In her book she discusses her unusual childhood with a father that was often bringing home wild animals and the chaos that would ensue. He also dabbled in taxidermy which made for a rather horrifying “normal” to their household environment. (And made for laugh-out-loud moments at every turn of the page.)
Jenny discusses her struggles with anxiety and her experiences growing up and becoming a mother herself. She ultimately ends up with a quirky fascination with, and owns, several taxidermy animals. But . . . while I normally find anything like this unpalatable, Jenny’s taxidermy pieces are pretty funny (some are even in costumes).
All this made me google something that I never thought I would google . . . taxidermy mouse in costume . . . And the results speak for themselves. What follows is some of what I found when on my internet exploration.
Needless to say I am appalled and, at the same time, I totally want one! Stay tuned because if I get one I am definitely going to update this post.
